Privacy Policy

LoveMyPets is designed to keep your pets' information private and under your control.

In short: LoveMyPets does not collect personally identifiable information. Information you enter about your pets is stored in your private iCloud space. Starting with version 3.0.3, LoveMyPets uses privacy-focused, anonymous usage analytics to understand how the app is used and improve it over time.

Data collection

LoveMyPets does not collect your name, email address, advertising identifier or other personally identifiable information for the developer. Pet profiles, health information, photos and other content you enter in the app are not sent to the developer for analytics.

Analytics

LoveMyPets uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH, to understand how app features are used and to improve LoveMyPets over time.

The analytics data processed by TelemetryDeck is anonymized. Depending on the event, it can include:

an anonymized, untraceable identifier associated with an app installation;
app interactions defined by LoveMyPets, such as launching the app, opening a section or tapping a feature;
a timestamp rounded to the nearest hour;
basic technical metadata such as iOS version, LoveMyPets app version/build and device type.

LoveMyPets does not send TelemetryDeck your name, email address, pet profile data, pet photos, precise location or advertising identifier (IDFA). TelemetryDeck states that IP addresses are never stored and that its anonymization process prevents analytics identifiers from being traced back to an individual user.

TelemetryDeck states that usage data is stored exclusively within the European Union and that its anonymized analytics data does not constitute personal data under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

iCloud

Information you save in LoveMyPets can be stored and synchronized using your personal iCloud account.

Location

If you use the feature for finding nearby veterinarians, groomers or pet shops, LoveMyPets may request access to your device location. The developer does not collect or store your precise location.

Photos and device permissions

Some features can request access to photos, the camera or notifications. These permissions are used only to provide the features you choose to use and can be managed from iOS Settings.
